North Skookum Lake Road - FS 5000128

North Skookum Lake Road - FS 5000128 is a 3.6-mile out-and-back route through Colville National Forest. This smooth, winding, single-lane gravel road follows the north side of Skookum Lake and gradually becomes narrower due to brush encroachment farther up. The route ends at a dispersed campsite. Several roads and trails continue beyond this point, but they are either heavily overgrown or blocked by tank traps. Despite running alongside the lake, there is no easy water access from the road. A few pull-offs provide potential access points, but reaching the shoreline requires scrambling and bushwhacking. North Skookum Lake Road is open year round to highway legal vehicles.
