North Goat Peak - FS 5225-200

This is a wide, gravel-based forest road that leads to the trailhead to hike to Goat Peak Lookout Tower. The trail is wide and has some bumpy washboard. The trail has minor ruts and wash. and ends in the parking area for the hiking trail, which has a vault toilet. On this trail, you will have dense forest views and views of the surrounding peaks. This trail is suitable for any vehicle type. There are no amenities other than the vault toilet, and cell phone service is weak. Camping is available along this entire trail. The closest services and supplies are in Mazama, Washington, approximately 40 minutes away.
