Trail Overview
Middle Fork Teanaway is a 1.5-mile out-and-back route that follows a single-lane gravel road into the Teanaway Community Forest. A Discover Pass is required for access. The route provides access to Indian Camp Campground and follows the Middle Fork Teanaway River through a scenic forested corridor. Vehicle travel is restricted by a gate installed as part of an ongoing restoration project. While motorized vehicles must stop at the gate, single-track motorcycle access is permitted beyond the closure to the Middle Fork Trail and Yellow Hill Trail. The route ends at the gate. Middle Fork Teanaway is open year-round.
Difficulty
Middle Fork Teanaway is an easy route suitable for all vehicles. The gravel road is generally straightforward and free of significant obstacles, making it accessible to most users. The primary consideration is the gated closure near the end of the route, which prevents further vehicle travel. Users accessing the trail system beyond the gate should be aware that only single-track motorcycle access is permitted. As with most forest roads, conditions can change following storms or seasonal maintenance activities.
