Keenan Meadow - FS 1386

Keenan Meadow is an easy single track in the Manastash Trail System that has a mix of narrow meadow sections with smooth dirt and no rock, but also rockier and steeper sections with loose, round rolling rock in the trees. The east end starts at the intersection with the Bucky ATV trail, and it goes west for 1.4 miles to connect to the Shoestring Lake Trail. The east half is rockier and steeper, but also wider through the trees. Expect a few short steep climbs with small loose rocks piled into the trail. The west half goes through a scenic meadow with pretty wildflowers, but watch out for a few sudden g-outs and ravine crossings. The trail was cleared of any logs by early July and appears to be well-maintained. The trail is easily accessible from the Manastash campground through the Bucky ATV trail.
