Trail Overview

This is a long rolling fully gravel Forest Service Road with great viewpoints. Pull out and side quest to springs and dispersed camping along the route. The trail is clear of down trees and has multiple pull-offs for berry picking. Continuing on this main road will complete a loop with access to and from Interstate 90.

The section west of Keechelus Ridge is relatively smooth and fast. East of Keechelus Ridge is rough. This section is currently being repaired, watch out for equipment that is knocking down roadside brush to widen the trail. It's possible they are prepping for logging operations.

Rough ride, lots of rocky parts and potholes, and many narrow areas that only fits one vehicle. Lots of brushes that will scratch up your car. Many disperse camping spot but mostly forested, few with good views. The lookout area about 5.5 miles in if you’re coming from the west side has great views but very exposed and windy.
