Trail Overview

This is a dirt-based forest road that gradually climbs before ending in a large campsite with great views of the surrounding peaks and ridges. The trail is very narrow, one lane, and mostly two-track. At the beginning, several ruts and washes are up to a foot deep. There are multiple deep mud holes with soft bottoms, making a high-clearance 4x4 recommended for this trail. The area is a dense forest and offers plentiful opportunities for wildlife sightings. The cell phone service was weak to nonexistent, and there are no amenities along the trail, so travel prepared. The nearest services and supplies are approximately 20 minutes away in Metaline Falls.
