Trail Overview

This is a short and easy dirt bike trail through the Wenatchee National Forest. The north entrance starts at the Taneum Junction Campground and staging area. It is overall a fun forested trail that follows a wide but shelfy traverse following the curvature of the mountains. It is a semi-gradual ascent from north to south, gaining about 750 feet elevation over 1.3 miles. The trail has a few big hairpin curves during the ascent, but they are wide and smooth. It’s a very easy trail that is ideal for newer or younger riders, with no major obstacles. It goes through a dense shaded forest of lodgepole pine and ponderosa, and over a wide wooden bridge crossing at the south end with tall railings. The south end ends on Gnat Flat Road.
