Trail Overview
FRF-1000 is an easy forest road that serves as a main access route into a larger network of trails and logging roads. The entrance is located near the Sportsman Club, where a gate controls access to the road. The gate was open in October at the time of mapping, although access may change depending on seasonal closures or land management restrictions. The surface consists primarily of firm hardpack dirt, offering straightforward driving conditions without significant technical obstacles. Several pull-offs along the route provide opportunities for dispersed camping where permitted. 892 feet of elevation change, the incline can be steep near the entrance. As a primary access road, FRF-1000 is a useful starting point for exploring the surrounding forest and connecting trails. Motorized access is subject to posted restrictions, with street-legal vehicles, including plated motorcycles, appropriate when public access is permitted.
Difficulty
Firm, hardpack dirt with no significant technical obstacles, but there is a semi-steep incline upon entry. The main consideration is checking the entrance gate and current access restrictions before traveling.
