Trail Overview

Blanchard Mountain is a 3.8-mile out-and-back trail ending at Salish Overlook. The road surface is well-maintained and passable by any vehicle. Some potholes and washboarding will slow down cars and trucks. This is a popular trail with lots of blind corners and small hillcrests, so make sure to stay to the right! A Discover Pass is required to be on Blanchard Mountain.

Easy drive to Samish Overlook. Well maintained (mostly wide) trail. Few potholes. High clearance 4x4 not necessary. Nice views.

Went up on Father's Day morning with my dad and we ran into a lot of traffic. Parking lot was completely full so had to park on the side of the trail. Its a well maintained trail with very few potholes and is easily 2 vehicles wide

Easy road to the top. From there lots of great views and trails.

Very icy in some spots with a few cars stuck in the ditch. I would not recommend it in the current conditions unless you have chains or the skills.

Beautiful views at the end overlooking the ocean. Fun little drive the whole way. We enjoy the forests tho. It is out and back.

Pretty purple flowers, lots of wildlife, super chill, only a few other people.
