Trail Overview

Robert's Cove Road can be accessed from either Comers Rock Road or Honey Grove Road and follows a well-maintained gravel route through the scenic mountains of southwest Virginia. The trail is suitable for all high-clearance vehicles, as well as most smaller AWD vehicles under normal conditions. The drive is known for its expansive mountain vistas and picturesque meadows that open up along the route. In several areas, you'll pass fenced pastures where livestock can often be seen grazing, adding to the area's rural charm. During the fall, Robert's Cove Road becomes one of the most scenic drives in the region as the surrounding hardwood forests transform with vibrant autumn colors. If you're exploring the area during leaf season, this trail is well worth adding to your itinerary for its outstanding views and peaceful mountain scenery.
