Blue Springs Road

Blue Springs Road is a scenic, hard-packed dirt and gravel forest road that provides access to both Hale Lake and Comers Rock recreation areas. The route is easy to navigate under normal conditions and is suitable for all high-clearance vehicles, as well as most smaller AWD vehicles. A large dispersed campsite is located at the junction with Hale Lake Road and can comfortably accommodate up to 10 vehicles, making it an excellent basecamp for groups. Nearby, the Blue Springs National Forest cabins are available to rent for those looking to extend their stay with a few additional comforts. As the trail approaches the Roberts Cove side, the surrounding forest opens into a broad mountain meadow with sweeping views of the surrounding landscape. This scenery is a highlight of the drive, especially at sunrise and sunset, and during the fall foliage season.
