Big Mary

Easy trail. Can be accomplished by a stock 4x4. Good hiking trails. Gate blocks the end of the trail. Two good camp sites.

We only saw one other vehicle while on the trail. I would have rated this Trail as a 1. Most vehicles should be able to traverse it without four-wheel drive. About 2/3 of the way down the trail, it is obstructed by the pictured barrier. We walked the dogs about another quarter of a mile up the trail past the sign and let them swim in the creek, which is beautiful by the way. We never saw why it was closed. There was a creek that goes under the road just past the sign so I'm wondering if it is caving in under there.
