Trail Overview

This trail is an out-and-back trail that splits from Leidy Peak and heads North to where it dead-ends at the bottom of a hill. This trail starts as a well-maintained road until you pass the Forest Service-managed yurt, at which point the trail becomes rougher, with lots of larger dips in the road that can hold water and mud, as well as a few spots that have small ruts and loose rock to navigate. This trail is tucked in the trees for the whole length of the trail, with the main point of interest being the yurt located about halfway down the trail. This trail is open to all vehicles and has no set seasonal closure date, but will be inaccessible during the winter through early summer due to deep snow accumulation.
