Trail Overview

Straight Shooter is a short, direct offroad trail on Stansbury Island, linking the Stansbury Island Bar area on the south to Tabbys Canyon in the north. Spanning just under a mile with minimal elevation change, the route passes a local shooting area and serves as a connector with multiple intersecting desert trails. The unpaved terrain features deep ruts and mud holes, especially after wet weather. While these obstacles can challenge stock high-clearance vehicles, bypasses are often available to navigate around the worst sections. Watch for active livestock along the route.

Difficulty

This short, straight trail takes you past a small shooting area on the South end and up to Tobbys Canyon area on the North end. There are various connecting trails off of this route. Tons of mud holes and trail damage (ruts) are present, but often there are secondary ways around some of the worst spots. Livestock is in the area, so use caution.
