Trail Overview

A narrow trail that winds its way up and back into the mountain. This trail is probably best suited for smaller machines, although a Tacoma made it up no problem. A couple of sections have large rocks to maneuver around, which bump up the technicality rating. The trail does keep going beyond where my track stopped, but it proceeds up an incredibly steep and loose hillside that I chose not to attempt. The views down the canyon and out over Salt Lake are great from up the trail.

Easy trail down below but the party gets started once the route ends. Top sections has some possible 5-ish sections and had to reach for the lockers. Beautiful view from the top!

Trail is in great condition. Not too loose. If you continue up beyond where it ends on OnX there's one technical obstacle and then it's just climbs up to a knife-like ridge with amazing views for a mile or so. The tricky obstacle is early on, at the first live juniper along the trail past where the track on OnX ends. You'll want to walk it first, but it's nothing hard if you have lockers or a short wheelbase. You just want to pick a line that doesn't force you off camber on the steep slope. Other than that, it's a couple sections of sustained 20 degree climbs with rocks. Harder to go down than up, but not too sketchy.

Trail was in decent condition, once you get a bit farther up bunch of loose rocks. Might require some planning once the trail ends if you plan to continue. Definitely would not recommend bringing a full size rig up there.

Tackled in a '96 XJ with 4" in lift, no lockers. I made it about 2/3 to the top of the ridge beyond where the trail ends on this map, so can comment on that. Trail goes up a beautiful canyon. The real fun starts where this map shows the trail ends. You'll see some steep technical spots that require planning and a few attempts unless you have lockers. Loose rocks everywhere and one narrow spot where this marked trail ends on the map. This is no trail for a full-size truck or anything without robust tires, true 4x4 and good clearance. If you make near the top of the ridge you'll be rewarded with distant mountain views in all directions.

Tight fit for full size but doable. A Handful of technical spots required a little planning but overall a great experience for newish riders.
