Trail Overview

Mineral Fork gets the designation as the only off-road route open in the Cottonwoods above Salt Lake County. This trail is popular with dirt bikes, ATVs and hikers. Be sure to respect anyone that is using the trail. Your vehicle has to be under 50" to complete the trail. Please be courteous and obey all rules. This is a great ride with fantastic views of the Wasatch Range. The trail is only 6 miles one way making it a great afternoon trip or a long day hike.

Lots of water coming out of the mine. Trail was in good condition. Rock gardens up top were a riot.

This trail is rocky and narrow (i was on a motorcycle). I started early so no traffic going up but past 3 hikers on the way down. It's technically a 50inch trail but limited use and the rough nature of the trail means mainly hikers and motorcycles use it. Single track the last 300yrds to the mine at the top. Beautiful and quiet trail but be prepared to work. (it's worth it)

Great trail! Was confused whether or not the trail was open with the gate being closed but a quick call to the Ranger District confirmed it is open to motorized use even with the gate closed.
