Trail Overview

CATPAW Canyon is a short one-way trail located within Concan Adventure Trails that winds through a narrow canyon surrounded by steep hillsides. The trail offers a fun drive through classic Texas Hill Country terrain with limestone hills, native vegetation, and rugged scenery that is consistent with the rest of the park. While it is a relatively short route, it provides a unique drive through one of the narrower sections of the ranch.

Difficulty

This trail features a dirt and gravel surface with scattered loose rocks and minor elevation changes. There are no major ledges, large boulders, or technical obstacles to navigate. After rain, loose dirt and rock can become slick, so use extra caution if conditions are wet. A high-clearance vehicle is recommended, though most stock 4x4s will have no trouble completing the trail.
