Canyon Road

Canyon Road is a maintained dirt road in the Christmas Mountains area of Big Bend. Canyon Road travels through scenic desert landscapes with mountains and plenty of cactus and brush along the way. There are no challenges on this road, so enjoy it for the scenery and the fact that it's one of the few public roads available in the area. Canyon Road ends at the south end where it enters private property. Please turn around at this point to avoid trespassing. Please note: This property is owned by the Board of Regents of the Texas State University System and requires a signed waiver and permit for use. This permit is available at the Terlingua Ranch Lodge office. Your permit for Christmas Mountain Road covers this road also.
