Trail Overview

This road begins right across from Tellico Beach, which is a great place to eat if you're in the Tellico area. The road starts with an easy climb with great views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. There are several level pull-offs along the road where you can disperse camp. We had cell signal in a few of the areas but don't expect it very often (Verizon). If you want to see the views you will need to visit this road in the winter when the trees are bare. The road turns to asphalt at the end. There is a spur road called Lyons Creek Spur C which is marked 612. We took the spur road but it looked like it ended at a house so we turned around.

This is a very easy going gravel road that begins with a long uphill climb. Some trees and limbs hangover it, but it has been kept clear. Perfect for beginners or just someone wanting to cruise in 2nd or 3rd gear. Be mindful of larger vehicles as they frequent this road.
