Trail Overview

This road begins right across from Tellico Beach, which is a great place to eat if you're in the Tellico area. The road starts with an easy climb with great views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. There are several level pull-offs along the road where you can disperse camp. There's cell signal in a few of the areas but don't expect it very often (Verizon). If you want to see the views, you will need to visit this road in the winter when the trees are bare. The road turns to asphalt at the end. There is a spur road called Lyons Creek Spur C which is marked 612.

There is nothing too difficult with this road. There are a few rough places but mostly just rocky.

This trail offered a little bit of everything. Scenic views and Well maintained at the southern end while the northern side was more washed out, rutted & muddy with several short spurs to explore along the way.

It’s a little rutted as you make your way up from Tellico Beach. After that it’s a simple trail gravel occasional small mud holes some small ruts. Never used 4wd.

Not a bad ride. Very conservative trail with nothing technical at all. 1/10 on difficulty. Didn’t see another soul out there.

We got caught in a thunderstorm. Trail was in good condition great forest road no major obstacles. Make sure to stop at Tellico Beach for food great service with a nice view.

Beautiful drive with drop offs for beautiful views. Trees are still without leaves this time of year so you can see further. There is a hiking path #164 accessible from the road

Trail is essentially a gravel road. Description says there are multiple pull offs for camping. While this is true, the pull offs aren’t big enough to fit a full size rig let alone a car with a ground set up.
