Trail Overview

Meadow Ridge Road is a narrow 4x4 trail within the North Cumberland Off-Highway Vehicle Riding Area, in the Sundquist Unit. It’s an easy and wide gravel trail with frequent ruts running vertically along the side of the trail. The trail is dry and sun-exposed, so it is not as muddy or rutted out as some of the surrounding trails. Drivers will have good visibility and room to pass as it is often wider than one lane. It goes along a hilltop, connecting Meadow Branch Trail to Short Mountain Road. It is a very gradual climb from north to south, ending at a wide spot on Short Mountain Road that makes a good stopping or resting point for large groups, with a nice view over the mountains.
