Trail Overview
Trail 12 is a 1.4-mile easy ATV loop in the Rivers South OHV Area in the Deschutes National Forest. It makes a loop off of Trail 10. The trail is wide and mostly smooth dirt for the entire route. Watch out for shallow dips and bumps, but it is essentially free of any rocks or obstacles. The trail was clear of any logs, as this is a highly maintained trail system, but always watch out for new downfall. This trail has gradual curves and good visibility through the tall and widely separated ponderosa pines, and later rides along a wall of lodgepole pines. The trail is well-marked and easy to follow. Watch out for any oncoming traffic, as this trail system allows two-way traffic.
Difficulty
This is a great option for beginner or younger riders, as it is easy for the entire route, mostly being flat and straight. There is hardly any technical element to this trail other than some shallow dips and bumps.
