Trail Overview
This is a gravel-based OHV trail with a small portion to complete the loop only accessible by ATV or dirt bike. The trail is narrow and one vehicle wide, with some room to pass and overgrown vegetation. There are minor ruts and wash, large potholes, and a couple of mud holes to traverse. The views along the trail are diverse as you have views of meadows atop the ridge, forested views on the south side, and a view of surrounding mountains including Rabbit Ears. The short hiking trail to Rabbit Ears is also off this trail. Camping is allowed along this entire trail with multiple pre-existing campsites; however, there are no amenities along the trail, and the cell phone service is weak. The nearest services and supplies are in the town of Prospect, approximately 45 minutes away, so travel prepared.
