Winding its way through a beautifully lush and deeply shaded evergreen canopy, Parks Creek Road - FS 2067560 is a quiet, highly scenic route managed by the Willamette National Forest. Branching off from the main Forest Service Road 2067, the entrance is easily identified by a brown vertical post displaying the 2067 560 route numbers. Outdoor enthusiasts frequently utilize this peaceful drive to find lovely dispersed camping spots at the numerous gravel pullouts, or to safely reach the Gold Hill Trailhead at the route's terminus, which serves as a popular gateway for hikers exploring the extensive Pyramid trail system. The drive offers a truly immersive woodland experience, complete with the relaxing sounds of nearby stream crossings waiting to be enjoyed at both the beginning and the end of your journey. Along the way, the dense timber occasionally gives way to lovely, wide-open mountain vistas, making it a perfect escape into nature.
Difficulty
This is a wide, hard-packed two-lane gravel out-and-back spur that is remarkably easy to navigate. The consistently smooth, well-graded surface is exceptionally forgiving and remains completely free of any major technical obstacles, deep water bars, or large embedded rocks.
