Trail Overview
This trail begins where it connects to the main road, a well-graded, partially maintained road with alpine sandy conditions. The route is quite narrow, with numerous fallen trees and overhanging dead vegetation encroaching into the trail corridor, making it best suited for ATVs and motorcycles. Larger vehicles are likely to encounter significant clearance issues throughout the route. There are a few potential dispersed campsites along the trail, offering quiet places to stop and enjoy the surrounding forest. An open, passable gate is located along the route, although it is heavily overgrown. At the same location, there is a trailhead for another route; however, it is now completely overgrown and no longer accessible. The trail also includes a few off-camber sections that require careful driving, although none are particularly extreme. ATVs, UTVs, Side-by-Sides, and Dirt Bikes must always have a valid Oregon ATV Operating Permit sticker.
