Trail Overview
This beautiful user-maintained gravel road winds through the forest before climbing to a spectacular viewpoint overlooking the surrounding landscape. Along the way, the route passes through a peaceful forest with frequent wildlife, and deer are commonly seen in the area. Near the viewpoint is an open clearing that provides a good place to stop, park, and take in the scenery before continuing farther along the trail. Beyond the viewpoint, the trail becomes progressively less maintained, with numerous fallen trees, branches, and woody debris scattered across the route. While it is still possible to weave around many of the obstacles, the trail becomes increasingly difficult to follow, and the risk of vehicle damage rises significantly. Drivers should watch for protruding logs, fallen timber, and overhanging branches that can cause pinstriping or damage to tires and bodywork.
