Trail Overview
This well-maintained gravel forest road winds through beautiful stands of evergreen, fir, and spruce trees as it gradually climbs into the mountains. The road surface is smooth and easy to follow, making for a pleasant drive through a peaceful forest setting. Deer are frequently seen in the area, so drivers should remain alert, especially around dawn and dusk. The forest floor is covered with soft vegetation and tall grass in places, so ATVs and SxSs should be equipped with a spark arrestor, and all visitors should follow any seasonal fire restrictions. The route is an out-and-back trail with no practical through connection. Moss-covered trees, lush undergrowth, and dense forest give the trail a quiet, secluded feel. Although one old spur road appears to branch from the main route, it is heavily overgrown and no longer provides usable access. Overall, this is a scenic and enjoyable forest drive with a well-maintained surface, beautiful mountain scenery, and a peaceful atmosphere.
