FS 1140

Easy, dirt based forest road that runs from the paved Forest Road 11 through private property into the National Forest and connects you to the vast trail network. The trail has some very loose dirt/sand in some places, and minor washboard making the ride slightly bumpy. Expect lots of dust when dry and mud after rain. Once you cross the forest boundary into the National Forest camping is allowed along the trail. Cell phone service was decent enough to place a call or send a message, but there are no amenities along the trail so travel prepared. This trail is suitable for any vehicle type.
