This is a narrow, one-vehicle-wide forest road with few places to pass. The trail steadily climbs through an old burn where new trees have been planted, and is lined with overgrown vegetation. There are some rock garden areas and boulders up to a foot sticking out of the ground along the trail, but most are avoidable, making this trail suitable for any vehicle type. The trail dead ends in a campsite that offers a great mountain view and a view across the hillside of the old burn. Cell phone service was good enough to send a message out but weak overall, and there are no amenities along the trail. You are approximately 15-20 minutes from the town of Sisters, Oregon, at the start of this trail, and that is where the nearest services and supplies are.
