Bluegrass Butte - FS 1030-180

This is a dirt-based forest road that is intended to make a loop around Bluegrass Butte. The trail is narrow and one vehicle wide, with few places you could pass, and is extremely overgrown with vegetation. You can expect scratches and possibly knocked-off taillights. The second half of the loop has been overtaken by massive downed trees and seems to be forgotten and not kept up for some time. Camping is allowed along this entire trail, and there are sections where you will have great views of Mount Jefferson and Washington. Cell phone service was weak, and there are no amenities, so you will need to travel prepared, as you are approximately 30 minutes from the nearest services and supplies in Sisters. Full-size vehicles are not recommended for this trail, and it is probably best left for Powersports.
