Trail Overview
This maintained trail winds through the forest with a mix of switchbacks, curves, and winding sections. The route moves between open areas, open forest, and deeper, darker sections of trees, creating a nice variety of scenery. Watch for oncoming traffic, particularly around the many curves and tighter sections. The trail eventually reaches a split. The left branch ends shortly after the junction, so continue on the right-hand route to stay on the main trail. The surrounding forest has a wonderful natural scent, with pine needles filling the air along much of the route. It makes for a particularly pleasant drive through the forest. This area is open year-round on gravel roads. However, travel on dirt roads is restricted during wet conditions, which typically occur from October 1 through June 1. OHV use is prohibited where vegetation is present on the road during fire season, typically June through October. ATVs, UTVs, Side-by-Sides, and Dirt Bikes must always have a valid Oregon ATV Operating Permit sticker.
