Trail Overview
This short but exciting maintained trail follows a mountain ridgeline with steep drop-offs on both sides. The route is generally in good condition, but one section just before the dispersed campsite becomes particularly narrow, with drop-offs on either side. Vegetation along the edges is beginning to erode away, and the road may eventually require repairs. Use extra caution through this narrow section and avoid traveling the trail after heavy rain, when portions of the road could become slippery. The combination of steep terrain and exposed edges makes it important to take your time and stay alert. The trail ends at a dispersed campsite, providing a place to stop and enjoy the surrounding forest and ridge-top setting. This area is open year-round on gravel roads. However, travel on dirt roads is restricted during wet conditions, which typically occur from October 1 through June 1. OHV use is prohibited where vegetation is present on the road during fire season, typically June through October. ATVs, UTVs, Side-by-Sides, and Dirt Bikes must always have a valid Oregon ATV Operating Permit sticker.
