Trail Overview
This absolutely stunning trail follows a ridgeline with significant drop-offs, so use extra caution throughout. The road is quite narrow and steep in places, with a long downhill section followed by a steep climb on the return trip. Take it easy on the descent and watch your brakes, especially after riding through the mountains. A small side road leads to a target shooting area, with nearby space that could likely accommodate dispersed camping. This area is popular with hunters, so watch for other users and shooting activity. This area is open year-round on gravel roads. However, travel on dirt roads is restricted during wet conditions, which typically occur from October 1 through June 1. OHV use is prohibited where vegetation is present on the road during fire season, typically June through October. ATVs, UTVs, Side-by-Sides, and Dirt Bikes must always have a valid Oregon ATV Operating Permit sticker.
Difficulty
Overall, this is a gorgeous little trail, but the steep inclines and declines, narrow road, and significant drop-offs require careful driving.
