Trail Overview

Prospect Road is a 4.7-mile point-to-point county road that follows a well-maintained gravel surface through heavily forested terrain. The road is two lanes wide and carries an easy difficulty rating, providing straightforward travel for highway-legal vehicles. A quiet forest setting defines much of the route, with the surrounding woods giving the road a secluded character despite its county road designation. Along the way, an old church and cemetery provide points of interest, while a waterfall near the north end adds another landmark for travelers following the route. The combination of a well-maintained gravel surface and generous width makes the drive uncomplicated from one end to the other. Drivers should remain on the designated roadway as they travel between the route’s endpoints. Access is restricted to highway-legal vehicles only.
