Chambers Creek - FS 2071

Chambers Creek (FS 2071) is a 2-mile out-and-back route that follows a lightly maintained gravel surface through heavily forested terrain. The road is a single lane with places to pass and carries an easy difficulty rating, making it a straightforward drive for highway-legal vehicles. A quiet forest setting defines the character of the route, while the lightly maintained gravel surface preserves the feel of a traditional National Forest road. Although uncomplicated to travel, the narrow roadway encourages drivers to remain attentive for oncoming traffic where passing opportunities occur. A campsite is located at the end of the route, which terminates in an open area that provides space to turn around before returning along the same road. Drivers should recognize the turnaround as the end of the designated route. Access is restricted to highway-legal vehicles only.
