Trail Overview
The trail is an easy, standard Forest Service road providing access to the Badin Lake campgrounds, group campgrounds, and recreation area. Most, if not all, of the Badin Lake campsites do not have power or water hookups; however, the grounds do feature a bathhouse, RV pump station, and lake access. The recreation area offers open park space, picnic tables, and restrooms, and is limited to day-use only from sunrise to sunset. Surrounded by dense trees, the road is well-maintained dirt and gravel, remaining highly accessible and easy to navigate for the vast majority of standard vehicles. The road has minimal challenges besides small ruts, and the road is generally wide enough for two vehicles to pass.
