Trail Overview
Heading north to south, this quick cut-over trail kicks off with a loose, steep hill climb right next to a muddy creek crossing. This water source makes it highly likely you will encounter cattle drinking and grazing right at the start of the route. Once past the initial climb, the trail follows a classic fence line, traversing the rolling foothills from north to south. During the right time of year, this stretch is lined with vibrant seasonal wildflowers. The route features a steep entry and a steep exit, adding a bit of excitement to the short drive. Along the way, drivers will encounter a fun rock obstacle, though a convenient bypass is available for those who want to avoid it. There is absolutely no cell phone reception on this trail. You must download offline maps beforehand.
Difficulty
The trail earns its 3 rating specifically for the steep entry and exit points, as well as the fun, rocky obstacles on the hill climbs and descents at the southern end. Aside from these features, it is a relatively easy cut-over route.
