Jack Creek North Fork - FS 56473

Serving as the main cut-over artery for this section of the National Forest, Jack Creek North Fork is the primary access point for the surrounding trail network. The route features a mix of wide, well-graded two-track and narrower shelf roads. The trail gains and loses significant elevation throughout the drive, offering outstanding panoramic views of the mountains, canyons, and surrounding landscape. There is absolutely no cell service in this area, so ensure all maps are downloaded offline before arriving. Both ends of the trail cross through private property; you must obey all signage and strictly stay on the main road in these areas. The trail experiences heavy traffic during hunting season, so keep a sharp eye out for oncoming vehicles. Due to the narrow shelf sections, be prepared to yield the right-of-way and potentially reverse your vehicle safely if you encounter oncoming traffic.
