Kjostadt - FS 609

Kjostadt (FS 609) starts out as a basic gravel road with an old wooden bridge that you cross to continue onto the trail. From there, the trail gradually changes and becomes narrower, with loose gravel, mid-sized rocks, and more uneven terrain as it winds through the forest and open clearings. Toward the end, the vegetation closes in, and the trail becomes tighter, with trees and brush getting closer to the vehicle. Use caution as you continue, especially through the narrower sections. Overall, Kjostadt is a good trail for someone looking for a moderate 4x4 run with changing terrain from beginning to end. It isn't an extreme trail, but the transition from gravel road to a narrower, rockier route gives you enough variety to make the drive interesting.
