Trail Overview
This is a fairly easy trail that offers a nice little adventure through the woods and leads to a quiet lake at the end. Near the beginning of the trail, you will cross a railroad track before continuing toward the lake.
As you get farther along the route, the trail gradually becomes narrower. There is a small rise as you enter the wooded section, eventually bringing you to a T-intersection. From there, continue onto the trail, which becomes even smaller and thinner as you make your way toward the lake.
The trail eventually opens up into a parking area near the lake. While there aren't any major obstacles or technical sections along this route, the narrowing trail and wooded surroundings make it an enjoyable drive for anyone looking for an easy trail with a destination at the end.
The lake itself is a great place to stop and enjoy the outdoors. Motorized boats are not allowed, making it a peaceful location for paddling. If you have a canoe or kayak, this is a great trail to bring it down and spend some time exploring the lake after completing the drive.
Overall, this is a relaxing trail that combines a little bit of off-road exploration with access to a quiet, non-motorized lake. It's an easy route and a nice addition to a day of exploring the Fond du Lac area.
