Trail Overview
Pine Ridge Trail is an amazingly scenic bidirectional trail within the Cadillac Forest Management Unit. Located either off 10-1/2 Trail or 3 Powerline Trail, this trail is easily accessible. Most of the trail is a combination of dirt, gravel, and sand. Starting, you'll be running a sandy/dirt track that has some overgrown sections here and there. Quickly, the trail twists and turns and becomes more dense and rough. As you continue traversing, the trail takes a turn with a few areas that have some uneven terrain. From here, there are a couple tight tree sections to work through. Nothing major, but something to be noted. Like most Michigan trails, conditions are dependent on the weather. Recent rainfall can cause downed trees, washouts, & mud holes. Most of this trail is only wide enough for 1 vehicle with limited places to pass. The trail finishes in either direction on another trail so you are ready for your next adventure! This is not a difficult trail, but it contains lots of fun with great views of the dense forest that gives access to more recreation.
