Trail Overview
8-3 Powerline Trail is a bidirectional trail within the Cadillac Forest Management Unit. Located between 3 Powerline Trail and West 8 Road, this trail is easily accessible. Starting, you'll begin on a mostly sandy two-track with lots of overgrown vegetation surrounding you both on and alongside the trail. There is a sign strictly saying NO ORVS, so keep that in mind when planning your adventure. As you navigate down the trail, you'll be surrounded by tons of vegetation. The trail narrows randomly throughout with a fair amount of overgrowth, so make sure to keep your eyes on the trail ahead. Something to keep in mind and always be mindful of: PLEASE TREAD LIGHTLY. Be respectful of our public lands so future generations can have access to these trails! This track has a fair amount of sand with some dirt areas mixed in here and there. Like most Michigan trails, conditions are dependent on the weather. Recent rainfall can cause unfavorable conditions on the trail, including downed trees, mud holes, and washouts. Come prepared. Most of this trail is only wide enough for one vehicle, with limited places to pass. This is not a difficult trail at all, but it contains a lot of scenic views and gives access to other great recreation. Regardless of the length or conditions, this is a wonderful trail worth checking out!
