Trail Overview

N 5 Trail is a 1.1-mile bidirectional trail within the Cadillac Forest Management Unit. Located between 10-1/2 Trail and LP 37, this trail is easily accessible whether it's at the beginning or end of your journey. Starting out, you'll begin on a dirt/sand track within the beautifully elegant forest. As you continue down the trail, you will come across many sections where there are towering pine trees surrounding you. Like most Michigan trails, conditions are dependent on the weather. Recent rainfall can cause unfavorable conditions on the trail, including downed trees, mud holes, and washouts. Come prepared. Most of this trail is only wide enough for 1 vehicle with limited places to pass. PLEASE TREAD LIGHTLY, and be respectful of our public lands so future generations can have access to these trails! This trail contains a lot of beauty and history, and gives access to other great trails nearby.
