Trail Overview
N 3 Trail is a classic Michigan bidirectional trail located within the Cadillac Forest Management Unit. Located either off 10-3.5 Trail or West 8 Road, this trail is easily accessible whether you are at the beginning or end of your journey. Most of the trail surface consists of a dirt and sand mixture. Starting, you'll begin right off with a very overgrown section of the trail. This will surely make you consider going down it or not, but rest assured that it gets better as you go. The remainder of the trail opens up from the beginning, but is still pretty and scenic. As you continue traversing, you'll be encompassed in a section of dense forest with a canopy of trees all around. Like most Michigan trails, conditions are dependent on the weather. Recent rainfall can cause downed trees, washouts, & mud holes. Most of this trail is only wide enough for 1 vehicle with limited places to pass. The end of this trail finishes with a small turnaround spot in the forest near a swamp. This trail is not at all difficult, but still gives access to other great recreation and contains plenty of scenic views.
