History
The Paradise area (originally part of Bay Mills Township) was heavily settled in the late 1800s due to a massive timber and logging boom. Railroads were constructed to haul white pine and hardwood out to Lake Superior shipping ports. The specific development containing N Fox Hound Road evolved much later as the area transitioned from raw timberland to off-grid cabins, seasonal vacation homes, and year-round rural residences. The properties along this road were parceled out during residential expansions over the last few decades, with several homes and parcels established around the early 2000s.
