Trail Overview
This out-and-back trail is located within the Piedmont Wildlife Refuge and offers travelers an opportunity to experience the area’s distinctive terrain and scenery. The route is composed primarily of gravel, with occasional small water holes that are generally easy to navigate. The drive is smooth overall, making it accessible for drivers of most skill levels and providing a relaxed, enjoyable experience. Toward the end of the trail, visitors will encounter a small, picturesque lake that serves as a scenic highlight. Access to this route is limited to licensed, street-legal vehicles, and all visitors must obtain a valid permit before entering to ensure compliance with refuge regulations and the protection of its natural resources.
Difficulty
This is a very easy mostly one lane gravel trail with occasional small water or mud holes, most of which can be avoided. There are many areas to pull to the side for any oncoming traffic. This road can be traveled by most all licensed vehicles with no issues.
