Dryman Fork - FS 421

Dryman Fork (FS 421) is a 3.7-mile out-and-back route that follows a generously sized single-lane gravel road with places to pass. The road is well maintained and travels through heavily forested terrain, providing an easy drive with straightforward travel throughout its length. Shortly after leaving the trailhead, the route crosses Dryman Fork before climbing steadily to Wolfpen Gap and then descending to cross Dryman Fork once again on the return leg. An open area at the end includes a possible dispersed campsite located off to the side. A bear cub was spotted along the route, reminding visitors that wildlife may be encountered while traveling through the forest. Access is restricted to highway-legal vehicles only, and the route is generally open from March 15 through December 31.
