Trail Overview

This is an extremely difficult trail full of challenges not for the faint of heart. It becomes more difficult yearly because it sees so much traffic. If you're up for the challenge, you'll be rewarded with great views and amazing obstacles.

Difficulty

Difficult. Short sections of moderate road connect a series of steep boulder challenges. Highly modified vehicles only. Lockers are a must. Unlicensed vehicles are allowed, but getting an ATV or UTV up this trail would be quite an accomplishment.

Overall a challenging trail on a side by side but doable with some persistence and a little swearing

Very small amount of on trail snow. 2-door rubicon 32” with a 2.5 inch lift had no issues still had to winch up the wall which is typical

patches of snow maybe a foot or two deep, nothing impassable. definitely pushed the limits of my 4runner (3” lift on 33’s). No trail damage (that I’m aware of yet).

We started from Lawson side. The trail is open with ideal conditions but is challenging and accurately rated as difficult (8/10). We ran 35-inch tires with lockers, yet struggled with clearance in many spots. The first major obstacle was too tough for 35-inch tires—37s or 40s are probably gonna be fine—though it can be bypassed. Following the onX trail guide leads to a dead end; about 1,000 feet before it (at mile 3.8), there’s a turn with a narrow section and 5-foot boulders we couldn’t navigate, forcing us to turn back. We’ll attempt it again another time.

We broke through about 20 snow drifts, some up to 5’ deep. You might need to winch if you go today but it is melting fast.
