Trail Overview

Pit Road will lead you to an amazing dispersed camping spot with incredible views overlooking downtown Colorado Springs. Be prepared for some very large washouts along the way that will require a vehicle with plenty of articulation. There are also a couple of steep sections with loose gravel, so use caution and make sure your vehicle is properly equipped. Once you reach the top, the views are absolutely worth the climb!

I rated this trail a 7 because of the very large washouts along the route. They require significant articulation and careful tire placement. There are also a couple of steep sections with loose gravel that add to the challenge. A capable 4x4 with good ground clearance and experienced driving is recommended.
