Trail Overview

This trail leads up to the Purgatory Ski Area. The trail is well-maintained and consists of many winding roads surrounded by tall pine trees. The trail consists of both up and downhill descending. There are many clearing areas to park vehicles or camp with great views of distant mountain ranges.

Difficulty

This trail is smooth with occasional bumps and dips. The roadway is passable by 2 vehicles in most areas however, other sections get tighter and are not. Many cows are in the area and some of them use the trail to travel on.

The ruts where water runs off are decently deep. I’d recommend just going up in 4Hi and make sure you have some clearance because there’s a few spots that a car wouldn’t be able to pass.
