At just 2 miles long, this trail offers a slightly different terrain and a refreshing perspective. East Animas Road winds gracefully along the scenic Animas River, providing a picturesque and somewhat adventurous route for those who travel it. This trail, narrow enough to accommodate only a single vehicle at a time, offers an intimate experience with nature. As you drive, you'll notice the rugged beauty of the fallen rocks from the surrounding mountains, adding a touch of raw wilderness to your journey. At one end there is a spot for you to turn around on.
